Let the People Rule

For too long, the people of District 58 haven’t been heard because voters are rarely given a real choice on the ballot. When politicians run unopposed, they answer to the political machine in Little Rock, not to you. With no Democratic or Independent challenger on the ballot this election, the incumbent would have run completely uncontested. Without this campaign, there would be no choice, just the automatic continuation of the status quo. I am running because a two-way race means accountability. "Regnat Populus" means the people rule, but that only happens when you actually have a choice at the ballot box.

Our current political system is designed to protect incumbents, not voters. Rigorous ballot access laws and steep hurdles make it incredibly difficult for independent, everyday citizens to run for office. This intentional barrier leaves voters with empty ballots and no real voice in their government. I believe that running for office shouldn't be a privilege reserved only for the politically connected. We need to open up the ballot, lower the barriers to entry, and make it easier for qualified leaders to step up. True liberty means having the freedom to choose your leaders, and that starts with protecting ballot access for all.

When politicians face no competition, accountability disappears. Too often, our government behaves like an exclusive club where favoritism, backroom deals, and nepotism take priority over the needs of everyday citizens. The system begins to serve a small circle of well-connected insiders rather than the public. I believe that public service is a public trust, not a family business or a tool for personal advantage. It’s time to bring transparency back to our representation and ensure that decisions are made out in the open. I am running to break up the insider status quo and ensure that every Arkansan in District 58 has an equal voice, not just the wealthy and the politically connected.

When the political establishment faces no competition, they treat your hard-earned tax dollars like a blank check. Decades of a stagnant status quo have led to wasteful spending, growing government bureaucracy, and a tax burden that squeezes everyday working families and small businesses in Arkansas. I believe that government should live within its means, just like you do. True liberty means allowing you to keep more of what you earn. I will fight to rein in wasteful spending, advocate for meaningful tax relief, and ensure absolute transparency for how your money is spent. It's your money, not the government's, and it’s time you had a representative who treats it that way.
